On show 4, you guys talked about Duke Nukem Forever. I bought it for my PC. I played through the entire thing, and it actually was pretty fun. The graphics were a little dated (think Half-Life 2 era), but not too much. The gameplay was fun, but it did feel like a game that was meant to come out over a decade ago. Some of the levels were bland, but others were interesting (I liked the mini-Duke levels).

The humor was mostly not funny, but the previous game was much the same way. Don’t let the years cloud your memory, people. DN3D, back in the day, was not that funny either.

The only real issues I had with it were the same issues I have with modern shooters, such as only being able to carry two guns at a time, frustratingly difficult areas, no quick saving (only check points), and a short ending.

I know the game got a lot of bad reviews, but I had a good time playing it. However, it does feel like a game that I would not pay more than 40 dollars for, even for fans. It feels like the game that was meant to come out 10 years ago, but with a fresh coat of paint. Don’t believe the hate. Judge for yourself.

    • Thanks for the review Rob. Glad to hear you liked it and your review just might be enough for me to pick up a copy. Cheers

Just listened to Show 1. You guys need to loosen up a bit. I know Oscar can. Not sure about Todd. I hope it gets better in the latest shows.

have to say the DJay app is really good, I have been djing for 20 years and I love it. The I-Pad version is a great steal for $20 bucks, plus it gives you saveable cue points.

  4. I heard about the show on TMOS. I’m hooked. Tood brings all the great details and Oscar helps guides the show so the less than average trchy and understand whats going on. Great combo! Keep up the good work!

  5. Does Verizon have an app that you can watch what youve recorded on your DVR on your iPhone?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  6. I’m a regular DC Metrobus rider, and I highly recommend Any Stop: DC WMATA for Droid. I’ve been using it for about 2 months now, and it’s bang on with its schedules.

  7. Love the 411! Any plans to publish this on Zune? Please? Cheers!

  8. I love listening to your show, the content is great. Please talk to Rob about helping craft a smoother opening, maybe have some music under while you open the show. It is very abrupt to go from the prerecorded opening to Oscar just talking. Rob does such a great job at that type of thing on the Mike O’Meara Show he is a great resource.

  9. Something for you to discuss: Photos are not deletable from your ipad photostream. So if Oscar had an embarassing pict, he gets to have it auto push to his ipad and it stays there for 30 days, whether he wants it to or not.

  10. Hey Guys,
Love the show. A quick note about Netflix on Apple TV. Like you, I hated scrolling in the search menu. It’s cumbersome and a pain in the ass. There is a free app called Apple remote. Get it on your iPhone and Apple Tv is easy to negotiate. Especially the search feature. Your regular iPhone keyboard comes up.
Keep Up the great shows and ESSADEE.

    Ken
