The only way to get out to the full Amazon from here (IOW, to order stuff other than the things the show has listed) is to click the little “Powered by Amazon.com” button right under the search box. There used to be a bigger, clearer, link to the regular Amazon front page.

Like Ari (above) says I can’t seem to search for anything outside of the listed categories on the left. Sorry, Marc, it’s not working. Should I do what Ari suggests and search using the “powered by Amazon” button below the search bar? I don’t want to buy anything else without being sure credit goes to TMOS. Thanks!

It’s easy to browse in the Amazon store, but not easy once you decide you want to buy something. It has the shopping cart, but it’s not clear how you add an item to the shopping cart. Am I missing something??

Marc please correct me, but I THINK and am hoping that once you go to Amazon from this page, TMOS gets the credit – yes?
Also – I’ve been wondering. Do you guys get anything if I go to Amazon from here and *don’t* make a purchase? Or only if a purchase results? Thanks!

Yes, if you got there from our page we should receive credit for it. If you don’t purchase anything, we still track the traffic but ultimately a sale is where we get the credit.

Good to know, thanks! I go to Amazon quite often NOT to purchase, just to check out prices or throw something in my shopping cart for another day. Good to know that it’s not worth the effort to go through this site for just those visits. (I would make the effort if it helped though!)

I think shes is talking about the Amazon link at the bottom of the page. That link takes you to a full scale normal Amazon page (in a new tab on my Firefox page) I’m thinking this isn’t linked to your guys page and it doesn’t appear that you would get credit. Are you sure? I was thinking we have to click on the “please click here to shop at Amazon via The Mike O’Meara show” link…..not the square for Amazon. Please clarify-
We’ll get credit for the banners linked directly to Amazon.

A couple of things…this page doesn’t seem to work on IE 8. I usually have IE and Chrome open (I’m a web developer so I use both), but I usually prefer to use IE for amazon stuff. Anyway, just thought I would mention it…. Also, is it possible to search without having to select a category? I don’t know what the category of what I’m searching for is. And no matter what I try, I’m not getting it right. I found the comments above said I could just click “Powered by Amazon” but it might be better if you could make that more obvious. Can I just bookmark that link rather than trying to search here?

Sort of. If you go through mikeomearashow.com/amazon using safari on your iPhone, that should work. It wouldn’t work through their iPhone app.

I’m not happy about the restriction of not getting to the complete Amazon page only through this link. I ordered a book and then when I go to the entire site it is not in the cart any longer. You need a better link to make it easier (and more familiar) to use. I do want to support the show.

I’ve been clicking the link to try and shop Amazon, but end up at the ‘Listener Comments’ page. Is it my browser or is there something hinky on the web site?
